Yes, believe it or not, there is such a thing as being too motivated.
Life is all about moderation, and sometimes we need to slow down in order to reach our goals. Being overly motivated to reach the finish line can make it easy to rush the process, which can be quite stressful.
There is nothing wrong with taking your time and going at a reasonable pace. The best things in life are worth the wait.
Winning The Race
You know what they say… slow and steady wins the race. Have you ever wanted something so bad, you wanted it yesterday?
Yes, we all have all been there at least once.
Some things in life may take a bit longer than anticipated and that is completely okay. We are all only human and success doesn’t happen overnight.
When you’re working towards something you have two options.
You can either try to get your task done as fast as possible or take some time to brainstorm and figure out the most effective way to navigate the situation.
The “best” way is not always the fastest way. But it likely will have the best long-term success.
Life is not a race and you don’t need to over-work yourself to see results.
Work Through Expectations
Have you ever tried to set the bar too high too soon?
No matter what you want to accomplish in business or in life you have to walk before you can run, and it all comes down to managing your expectations.
You know yourself better than anyone, and we all have our own unique set of strengths and weaknesses.
If you’re not a night person, don’t force yourself to stay up late and work.
It all comes down to listening to your body and knowing when it’s time to take a break or ask for help.
