It’s Okay Not To Be In Control

It’s Okay Not To Be In Control

Anxiety, Therapy

Embracing imperfection and lack of control can make it easier to go after what you truly want in life.

Say Goodbye To Overthinking

How much time do you spend a week worrying about situations out of your control or events that haven’t even happened yet?

All of that excessive worrying can be exhausting and very time-consuming. We all worry from time to time, and that’s normal. But too much of anything in life is not healthy. You have the power to control your thoughts. It just takes some practice and a little bit of homework.

Remember this – worrying about how that job interview went yesterday won’t change the likelihood of you landing the job.

The only thing you can do afterwards is remind yourself that you did the best you can. If you end up getting the job, that’s great, but if not, that’s okay because life is full of opportunity.

Trust Yourself

You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for.

Even if something doesn’t turn out as expected, you have the ability to bounce back. In life, you never fail. You ever win, or you learn. You’re stronger than you think!

Live In The Moment

Worrying about the future may be at the root of wanting to control a situation. When you catch yourself feeling overwhelmed about what might happen tomorrow, hit the pause button and look around.

There is nothing wrong with preparing for the future and having long-term goals. But at the same time you don’t always have to be three steps ahead of the game.

Don’t Let Fear Drive You

When things don’t go our way, sometimes fear can get the best of us and make us question our decision-making skills.

The thing is, we can’t let the fear of the unknown prevent us from stepping outside our comfort zone and trying new things.

Not all things can be learned in a textbook. Some things have to be learned through trial and error. You’ve got this.
