Pay Attention To Body Language

In some situations, we don’t even have to speak to communicate with others. The non-verbal cues we use in our body language can get our message out there. 

Exactly why knowing how to tune into others’ cues and mannerisms is such an important skill.

If a friend of yours looks like they are having a bad day, you can ask them if there is anything you can do to support them.

Perspective

We are all different and, therefore, look at events in our own way.  Two people can have opposite reactions to the exact same event. For example, you may love commuting because it gives you the opportunity to listen to your favorite music.

But your friend may strongly dislike it, as long car rides make them feel sick.

Being mindful and respecting those around us can help us be more aware and understanding in multiple scenarios.

Having that kind of mindset can help us better communicate and problem-solve. If a friend or family member comes to you for advice, looking at the event from their perspective can help you deliver more appropoate advice.

There is always more than one way to tackle an issue. Just because a solution would work for you doesn’t mean it would work for a friend, and that’s okay!
