Goal Setting For The New Year

Now that we just entered a New Year, it’s natural for us to reflect.

We may be thinking about the goals we’ve accomplished and the new ones we hope to set in the new year.

But before we start committing to new goals, we can ask ourselves some important questions.

Here are some things we can consider as we set out to create our goals.

Set Small Wins

Starting small is a great way to go.

We can create wins for ourselves by setting small, attainable goals. To do this, we can work on our goals for a few minutes each day.

Seeing how much we progress daily can give us the confidence and motivation to keep going.

Our small goals add up and, eventually, lead us to tackle our bigger goals.

Find The Purpose

Is there a career goal we want to set?

Or a personal goal we’re working toward?

The key to achieving our goals comes from finding our purpose first. We have an opportunity to goal after a goal we really want to and create the life we’ve always envisioned.

Putting our purpose at the forefront of our goals helps us remember why we are starting in the first place.

Measure The Journey

Monitoring our progress along the way is an important step in working toward our goals.

It’s one thing to set a goal and another to see it through. That’s why we must measure progress as we go through our goal-setting journey.

This way, we can see what’s working and what isn’t.
