Kate’s goal is to help you feel at ease, comfortable, and hopeful from the first meeting. She uses evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness. As your therapist, Kate will build a trusting relationship with you, encourage your existing strengths, and empower you to make the changes you want to make in your life. Your goals will be kept at the forefront of treatment, and Kate will work with you to monitor your progress and determine what works best for you.

Kate has helped clients with a variety of concerns including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, panic attacks, trauma, PTSD, OCD, life changes and stressors, self-esteem, personal and family relationships, and grief.

Kate is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work. She has worked in a variety of non-profit and university settings, and has more than a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Kate has experience with clients from diverse backgrounds in terms of age, gender, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, class, national origin, ability, and religion. Regardless of who you are or where you’re coming from, Kate is excited to find a treatment plan targeted to your needs.

Kate is originally from the Pacific Northwest, and loves nature and wildlife. In her free time, Kate enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring the beautiful Bay Area with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing board games, knitting, and crocheting.
