Jennifer Estes

Jenny is a warm, compassionate therapist who believes in the effectiveness of evidence-based interventions and the transforming power it can have in the lives of individuals and families. Jenny is passionate about partnering with individuals and families in finding healing and alleviating symptoms using TEAM CBT and traditional CBT approaches. Her experience working with diverse ages and needs gives her the ability to confidently collaborate with clients to overcome many of life’s problems including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, family problems, OCD, phobias, and trauma. Furthermore, she enjoys sharing her love for positive parenting interventions and assisting parents in connecting with their children to create a cohesive home environment.  

Jenny has a wide range of experience including working in community mental health, working with teens, children and their families in residential treatment center, and working with adults suffering from anxiety disorders, depression, and OCD in outpatient counseling.  

Jenny received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Her training includes intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & TEAM therapy training by David Burns, M.D. CBT/ERP for OCD in Children and Adolescents from Massachusetts General Hospital. She has additional training in CBT for Schema Change from the Cognitive Therapy and Training Center in San Diego.

What is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Clinical social workers provide mental health services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, behavioral, and emotional disorders in individuals, families, and groups. Their goal is to enhance and maintain their patients’ physical, psychological, and social function.

Educational requirements

Clinical social workers must have a master’s or doctorate degree in social work, with an emphasis on clinical experience. They must undergo a supervised clinical field internship and have at least 2 years of postgraduate supervised clinical social work employment. Clinical social workers are approved providers in most insurance and managed care plans, and practice in the following settings:

  • Private practice
  • Medical facilities (e.g., hospitals)
  • Mental health clinics
